Contaminant Reduction: This solid carbon
block filter provides 0.5 micron nominal, 1 micron absolute filtration. A dense
prefiltration wrap combined with a high capacity extruded
activated carbon block serves to provide excellent contaminant reduction
characteristics with a high affinity for adsorption of Chlorine, tastes, odors,
dirt, rust and sediment.
Design Features: This filters flows in the
radial (outside-to-inside) direction, providing increased dirt capacity, low
pressure drop and high adsorption capacity. Unlike granular activated carbon
(GAC) filters, our 1 micron Carbon Block cartridges will not channel or bypass,
due to the extreme uniformity of their extruded activated carbon core. Service
life of the the filter is greatly extended by prefiltration media consisting
of spunbonded outer prefiltration layer.
Note: The faucet will push out some water after the lever is shut off. This is
normal operation and allows pressure to be released from the unit after use.
